Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actor, dancer, and singer. Her first appearances on Broadway included in musicals Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. in You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in the Play. Annaleigh Ashford Tony Award winner actor has worked with a variety of acclaimed directors and actors on TV and stage productions. She continues this award-winning career with her upcoming projects. Ashford's next venture will be a limited edition Hulu show called Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show is set to premiere on November 22nd and Ashford plays opposite Kumail Najiani. Ashford's latest project involves Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust that he will be starring with Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. As a Hulu Original, the film will be available on Disney DTC's platform. Ashford returns to Broadway in March 2023, where he'll play Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production takes place at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton will lead the production. Ashford was a part of Paula Jones, the main actor in Ryan Murphy's brand new FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The show is based on an infamous national crime that involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp along with other key characters. Ashford played for two seasons in CBS successful comedy B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre it also featured legendary actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen.No new to Broadway Ashford has won Tony Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her performance as Essie In You Can't Take It with You. Also, she has appeared in Broadway in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde and the first role of Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots for which she was nominated for a Tony Award. Ashford, who was raised in Denver is now a resident between Los Angeles & New York.
